Vineyard has plenty to offer residents and visitors during the Holiday Season. From now through New Year’s, here are some fun things to do right here in Vineyard as you celebrate the holidays!
Grab a festive treat. Warm-up (or cool down) after a day of running errands with a hot or cold drink and a treat from one of our nearby shops such as Starbucks, Swig, Beany’s to Go, or Dairy Queen.

Drop off treats for a new neighbor. Welcome a Vineyard newcomer to your neighborhood by dropping off a small gift or treat and introducing yourself. Search Pinterest for inexpensive gift ideas and attach a tag with a clever pun.

Come to the tree lighting ceremony. Vineyard will light a new tree display at Penny Springs Park on Friday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. Bundle up and enjoy visiting with neighbors, sip a cup of cocoa, and walk around the pond on a festive, lighted path which will feature art by talented members of the Vineyard Youth Council.
Be Santa for the day. Make a wish or two come for children in our community by purchasing gifts for our Sub for Santa program. Choose some gift tags from our giving tree in the City Offices. Return the tags with new, unwrapped presents back to the office by Dec. 1
Go sledding. After the snow falls, find a small hill and enjoy after-school sled runs in the freshly fallen snow.

Plan a date night at the Megaplex. Treat yourself and your family to some downtime at one of the new releases at the Megaplex. Whether you are enchanted by Disney’s Encanto or are looking forward to the openings of West Side Story or Spiderman: No Way Home, there’s something playing for every movie lover right now. End your night out with an ice cream cone from Brooker’s or grab some wings from ‘Bout Time.

Look for Holiday Light Displays throughout the City. Vineyardians love to decorate their homes and yards for the holidays. Drive, walk, or bike around a new-to-you neighborhood to see sparkling lights and festive decorations.
Pick up dinner after a busy day of shopping. Reward yourself for finishing your holiday shopping by stopping by one of Vineyard’s eateries to dine in or take out a meal for an easy weeknight dinner. Choose from delicious cuisine at Happy Dragon, Umami, Mo Bettah’s, or Panda Express or grab pizza at Slab or Little Caesars.
Hit the trails for a winter workout. Vineyard’s beautiful trails are maintained all year round. Whether you are jogging, biking, snowshoeing, or on a leisurely family stroll, enjoy Vineyard’s native landscape and peace and quiet out on the trails.
