Thank you for your interest in locating your business in Vineyard, Utah! The rapidly-growing community of Vineyard is an excellent place to locate your business.
If you engage in any business within the boundaries of Vineyard, you are required to maintain a valid, unexpired business license. This includes home-based businesses.

Municipal Code
The Vineyard Municipal Code
It shall be a class B misdemeanor for any person to transact, engage in or carry on any business, trade, or profession, or to operate a vending, arcade, or coin-operated machine without first receiving the type of license required by the municipality.
Purpose of Business Licensing
Business licenses are required by law because they enable the city to:
- Collect its portion of sales tax revenues from the Utah State Tax Commission
- Ensure public safety by enforcing building and fire codes
- Maintain a list of currently-licensed businesses for public access
- Verify that businesses are in compliance with the Vineyard Zoning Code and other laws and ordinances, such as state or county inspection requirements
